Robert has lived in the Middle East since 1961.  He was born in the US, but at age 3 moved with his missionary parents to Tel Aviv where his father managed Dugit Ministries, working with Israeli Jews.  Robert was raised in Zahala, a small town north of Tel Aviv, where he attended Israeli school.

Robert is conversant in several languages, including Hebrew and Arabic.  His wife, Mona, was raised in Jordan, and has been working among Arabic-speaking Muslims since 1978.  Both are fluent English speakers. They have what they call a "Two-Eyed Vision," that is a passion to see both "Ishmael and Isaac" reconciled to and through Yeshua.

Robert and Mona are involved in establishing a prayer network in the Middle East with a particular emphasis in praying Isaiah's vision into reality: "Egypt My people, Assyria the work of My hands, Israel My inheritance"(Isaiah 19:23 - 25).  Robert and Mona participate in prayer networks including Succat Hallel, Jerusalem (Rick Ridings); Lighthouse Network, Larnaca, Cyprus (Tom Craig); Mesopotamian House of Prayer (MHOP), Erbil, northern Iraq (Fabian Grech); Beirut House of Prayer (Michel & Nuna); International House of Prayer, Kansas City (Mike Bickle); and Jason House of Prayer, Thessaloniki, Greece (Michael & Maria Makris).

Robert attended Youth With A Mission's (YWAM) School of Evangelism in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1975, has read extensively about modern Middle East history as an undergraduate, and studied Islamics at Fuller Seminary where he earned a M.Div.  He was YWAM Middle East Outreach Director based in Cyprus and pioneered YWAM in Lebanon.

Robert worked with Frontiers ministry in northern Iraq from 1991-1996.  Other relief and development work has included YWAM; North West Medical Teams International (now Medical Teams International) based in Portland, Oregon; Wells of Life development; and Triumphant Mercy relief & development, all in the Middle East.

Robert’s experience and expertise led to teaching and training in Islam, modern Middle Eastern History, Muslim outreach and service as Associate Pastor at Narkis Street Congregation, Jerusalem from 1993-1998.
Robert has spoken at the ICEJ Feast of Tabernacles in Jerusalem, At the Crossroads (ATC), a bi-annual conference Robert co-hosts with his colleague Rev. David Pileggi (Rector, Christ Church, Jerusalem). The next ATC will bring MBBs, Muslim Background Believers, and Messianic believers together in Jerusalem March 2018.  Robert is a sought-after conference speaker.
Robert and Mona first met in 1972 in Cyprus. They have served together in the Middle East for 40 years and reside in Beirut, Lebanon.
