Although a Jewish believer in Yeshua since age 10, Scott Volk rarely identified with his Jewish roots or the Messianic culture. It was in June of 2010, while Scott was flying home after leading a tour to Israel that the unexpected happened. “The Lord did a remarkable and most unexpected work in my life. It was as if everything I had heard from my childhood about Israel and God’s burden for that land and its people went from my head to my heart. God gave me revelation as to the calling He had on my life with regard to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” As a result of that momentous flight, doors have miraculously opened for Scott to express this message to churches, bible studies, and conferences around the globe.
Scott studied at Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas and North Central University in Minneapolis, Minnesota where he received his bachelor’s degree in Pastoral Studies. He and his wife Beth then moved to Scottsdale, Arizona where he served on the pastoral staff at Calvary Church of the Valley. In 1996 Scott joined the ministry of Dr. Michael Brown in Pensacola, Florida. He traveled the world in all sorts of ministry settings and ultimately settled in Charlotte, North Carolina where they planted a church. Scott was the lead pastor of FIRE Church until September of 2012.
Scott and Beth, an Arab believer (grandparents from Lebanon both sides), have been happily married for over 23 years. The Volks live in Charlotte, North Carolina with their 5 children: Alysa, Jonathan, Joseph, Emily and Olivia. You can read their riveting testimony in June Volk’s book, The God Who Answers By Fire: A Jewish Saga. You can read more about Scott here: http://togetherforisrael.org/
