Shavuot is about God’s blessing at two mountains: the giving of the Torah on Mt. Sinai and the giving of the Holy Spirit on Mt. Zion. Leviticus 23 is fulfilled in Acts 2.
You shall also count for yourselves from the day after the Sabbath, from the day when you brought in the sheaf of the wave offering; there shall be seven complete Sabbaths. You shall count fifty days to the day after the seventh Sabbath; then you shall present a new grain offering to the LORD. Leviticus 23:15-16
The festival of Shavuot arrived, and the believers all gathered together in one place. Suddenly there came a sound from heaven like the roar of a violent rushing wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then they saw what looked like tongues of fire, which separated and came to rest on each one of them. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit enabled them to speak. Acts 2:1-4
We count 50 days from the Resurrection to Shavuot. It was during this time that Yeshua appeared to His disciples over a period of 40 days. Come and be amazed at God’s timing. We will pray for people to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
