Yom HaBikurim / Sefirat HaOmer / Resurrection Day

Sunday, April 12, 2020 - 10:30 AM

One of the most important days of the year - celebrating the Resurrection of Messiah!

Did you know Messiah’s resurrection occurred on a biblical holiday, the Feast of First Fruits? His resurrection was an anointed and appointed time set long before He was conceived.

Join us as we learn about the connection between the Hebrew and Greek texts and marvel at God’s perfect timing. Come and celebrate the resurrection of our Messiah through song, dance, and a powerful message.

On this day, we will also begin the 50-day counting of the Omer and celebrate the miracle of life from the dead!

He is not here, because he has been raised, just as he said!

Fellowship and an Unleavened Oneg will follow the service.

 Scriptural context:

Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying,  “Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, ‘When you enter the land which I am going to give to you and reap its harvest, then you shall bring in the sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest.  He shall wave the sheaf before the LORD for you to be accepted; on the day after the Sabbath the priest shall wave it.  Leviticus 23:9-11 (NASB)

After Shabbat, as the next day was dawning, Miryam of Magdala and the other Miryam went to see the grave.  Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, for an angel of Adonai came down from heaven, rolled away the stone and sat on it.  His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were as white as snow.  The guards were so terrified at him that they trembled and became like dead men.  But the angel said to the women, “Don’t be afraid. I know you are looking for Yeshua, who was executed on the stake.  He is not here, because he has been raised, just as he said!  Matthew 28:1-6 (CJB)
