The Midrash keyed off of Exodus 29:15-21, where Aaron and sons were being cleansed, ordained, and consecrated to serve as priests in the new Levitical priesthood. The parallel was made as to our first being saved by the blood of Yeshua’s sacrifice, and because of that we also are consecrated to serve the Lord and His people in the Priesthood of Believers. It was essentially the Gispel message with a strong emphasis on the necessity of “the blood” in our salvation.
