Moses chooses godly men in Exodus 18, which prepared him to meet with God in Exodus 19 at Mount Sinai. Moses goes up the mountain of God, and returns to the people with the Ten Words, aka the Ten Commandments. Jehoshaphat appoints godly men in 2 Chronicles 19, which prepared him, and all Judah, for the attack by the Moabites and the Ammonites in the next chapter. Both of these leaders set God’s order in place before God was able to show His glory. Could it be that godly leaders set the stage for God to move among the people in powerful ways, beyond what they could imagine.
