I’m going to take the next few weeks to talk about the priority of worship, why Beit Tikvah is called to provide a place of worship, and why this is number one in what we do. Worship is always personal, because it establishes our relationship with the personal, infinite God. Worship is private, and corporate. It’s quiet, even silent, loud and energetic, and everything in between. Worship is an expression of the heart, the core of our being. If you give God your heart, you will delight in His ways. You will become a worshipper. If you worship God from your heart, it will come from desire, not duty.
