Encounters with God don’t have to be dramatic, spectacular, miraculous manifestations of divine glory. They often come in the simplest of ways and in our daily routines. God spoke to Elijah, not in the wind, earthquake and fire, but in the sound of a gently blowing. I see God when a hummingbird comes to feeds on my porch, or when the leaves fall in autumn.
