Enrichment Classes
Extracurricular subjects for students in grades 6-12
We want to support parents by offering free enrichment / extracurricular classes for students in middle and high school (~ages 11-18). Although we'd love to offer a variety of music, art, and foreign language classes in the future, we are starting with a "soft launch" Ensemble Music class this fall semester.
Ensemble Music Class
The class will run for an hour on Thursday afternoons (4:30-5:30 PM), and is for any student ages 11-18. (If you have a self-motivated 9- or 10-year-old, we can talk about them joining as well.) Students can either bring an instrument they already play (vocals included) or come prepared to learn basic music skills on a new instrument! We'll be playing an eclectic repertoire arranged from late Romantic pieces, folk and traditional tunes, worship songs, Big Band and American songbook selections, and film and video game soundtracks; students can also request favorite songs!

Students should be willing to commit to attending classes and practicing at home. The class will run for one semester (10 weeks) and then we'll re-assess for the remainder of the school year. Thursday, September 19, will be an "open house" for potential students and parents to come and try out the class.
