In this Torah portion, Lev. 19:1-2, verse two is the key verse in the whole book of Leviticus. This verse reads, “You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy”. The narrative shows that this expectation of God still applies for us today (sharing various verses from the Greek Scriptures), leading to the fact that the only way we can “be holy as the Lord” is by totally accepted Yeshua as our Savior.
